A Sparks Group Partner is seeking an ISSOto evaluate, implement, maintain and monitor security measures. This contract role has a hybrid work schedule (2 days/week onsite).
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, build, and maintain Security Operations toolsets, including vulnerability scanning, log collection/SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Evaluate new and existing applications for security compliance.
- Act as security liaison to IT Operations and program support groups.
- Act as SME in the development and updates regarding security awareness and training.
- Perform security initiative gap assessments and implement, test and maintain security solutions.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's degree and/or relevant technical training
- 5 to 7 years of related experience
- Experience with Federal Security Regulations (OMB Circular A-130, MIST Guidelines)
- 1 or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM and/or CISA certification
