Reporting into the Director, Human Intelligence, this role will provide support across data and intelligence platform management, primary research efforts, strategy outputs, and other departmental tasks.

The ideal candidate

You have hands-on experience conducting market research or consumer insights projects in strategy, innovation, consumer insights, and/or market research firms. The role demands knowledge across strategy, innovation, and innovative consumer insights methodologies. It also demands an appreciation for strategic imagination, high-impact storytelling, and curiosity.

The Jr. Human Intelligence Analyst will work with clients and internal strategists to define research objectives, identify the appropriate methodologies, execute research, translate findings into actionable insights, and present the results in a compelling manner.

Collaboration is critical to the success of this role. We are rapidly evolving across the business and integrating new functions to make us smarter and more progressive – so it’s important you are comfortable integrating with different internal and external teams to produce solutions as well as developing your own methods.

Your Areas Of Focus

  • Brief Interpretation: Comprehends client strategy and research questions, and able to turn their uncertainty into your compass for investigation (able to formulate productive questions)
  • Quantitative Research: Conduct quantitative research studies by gathering, analyzing, and deriving insights from data into a clear, cohesive story.
  • Qualitative Research: Can lead expert and consumer interviews, design discussion guides, conduct interviews, and produce crisp analysis
  • Methodology Development: Partnering with the Director of Human Intelligence on developing high-impact and innovative methodologies that push the boundaries of traditional market research
  • Data Analysis: Mining data and producing fresh insights through the use of our cultural intelligence platform Q and off-the-shelf third-party tools
  • Storytelling: Authors and designs logical presentation narratives to illustrate cultural and primary research insights that inform client direction with complete ease
  • Relationships: Fosters communication across project teams and with clients by presenting, and discussing the application of your strategy and research work
  • Facilitation: Presenting to groups and moderating workshops in both physical and digital/remote formats

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, social sciences, market research, or other related discipline
  • Approximately 1-2 years of experience in related field, ideally in positions that require blending right- and left-brain sensibilities
  • Experience leading primary research and/or managing primary research vendors a plus
  • Experience with a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies (surveys, focus groups, consumer segmentation, A/B testing, product concept testing, conjoint analysis, ethnographies, eye or emotion-tracking research, metaphor elicitation, design futures, etc.) is a plus
