Adaptive Physical Education Teacher / APE (Part-time)

Location: Cypress, Texas
Modality: In-Person
Start Date: Immediate Need (2022-2023 School Year)

JOB SUMMARY

Specialized is currently seeking a part-time Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for a position in the Cypress, Texas area. Primary responsibilities include providing adaptive physical education services to students who require specialized instruction in physical, coordination, and manipulative skills. Responsibilities may also include evaluations, ARD attendance, and consultation with school staff or other Specialized Assessment personnel. This position does require the candidate to be available during school days and hours.

Work Hours/Schedule
  • Part-time/PRN: 1-2 hours per week


Qualifications Needed for the Adaptive Physical Education Teacher / APE Teacher
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university

  • Texas Education Agency Educator Certification in area required for the specific position

Qualifications Preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of in school experience within area of certification
