What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Worker position at Specialty Land Clearing LLC?
Responsible for performing assigned tasks including planting, pruning, mulching, weeding, watering, and treatment of pest issues as required. Maintaining facilities, feeding and caring for dogs, creating and repairing infrastructure and maintaining landscape. Farm Worker will be able to perform basic upkeep tasks with minimal supervision or direction. Physical strength, endurance, and attention to detail are essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Feeding, watering, rotating and monitoring a group of hunting dogs as needed.
- Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch, straw or hay for protection, using gardening tools.
- Mow lawns and/or fields, using power mowers, tractors or other as assigned.
- Use equipment such as shovels, rakes, pruning shears, saws, hedge, or brush trimmers, and/or axes.
- Operate company owned vehicles, tractors, and utility carts, as assigned.
- Report all landscaping/grounds issues to the manager in a timely manner.
- Inspect equipment, vehicles, including ATVs, prior to use.
- Adhere to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to perform basic gardening tasks of weeding, pruning, mulching.
- Valid Driver’s License with a reliable source of transportation to and from farm.
- Comfortable working in extreme weather fluctuations
- Physical stamina and dexterity, with ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate hand tools and/or powered equipment.
- Tractor experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work on weekends
- Must pass background check.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
