What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter, Temporary position at Spectrum Health?
The Operations Recruiter is responsible for managing the recruitment process for entry level hospitality support and/or high volume operations positions within the Corewell Health system, delivering strong slates of qualified, diverse candidates to hiring managers. Ensures exceptional experiences for all applicants.
- Consults with hiring managers to understand position specific requirements. Ensures timely and accurate posting of positions, applicant review, and submission of applicants for hiring manager consideration, within the Applicant Tracking System (Workday).
- Appropriately screens applicants to ensure qualifications and availability, in accordance with Affirmative Action requirements. Provides applicants complete and accurate information and communication.
- Coordinates hiring events (“blitzes”) for assigned areas to drive efficiency and timeliness of hires.
- Works with Talent Selection Supervisor, Recruiter or Sourcer when there is a limited number applicants for any requisition or area. Supervisor, Recruiter or Sourcer will assist in developing a strategy to build additional talent pools.
- Facilitates offers of employment and initiates onboarding process. Assures that all information is processed accurately and timely, and in compliance with all requirements/regulations.
- Participates in career fairs or other recruiting-related events.
- Develops a thorough knowledge of assigned business areas: Strategic business goals, department culture, needs and expectations. Consults and partners with hiring managers to understand position specific requirements. Conducts in depth intake sessions to assure expectations are clearly aligned, and create a successful sourcing strategy.
- Provides counsel and advice to hiring leaders regarding job market conditions, competitive challenges, interviewing skills, best practice processes, etc.
- Ensures timely and accurate posting of positions, applicant review, and submission of applicants for hiring manager consideration, within the Applicant Tracking System.
- Builds strong networks to proactively discover and identify top external talent. Uses innovative and new techniques and technology .
- Provides complete, accurate and inspiring information to applicants regarding SH opportunities.
- Interviews applicants to assess qualifications, behavioral competence and availability, in accordance with Affirmative Action and other compliance requirements. Uses objective metrics to measure individual and team performance, to drive high quality hiring results.
- Facilitates offers of employment and initiates onboarding process. Assures that all information is processed accurately and timely, and in compliance with all requirements/regulations.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to entry level team members. Participates in career fairs or other recruiting-related events.
- Required Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Human Resources, Business or related field
- 3 years of relevant experience in recruiting and/or staffing or equivalent HR area. Experience with a broad range of positions. Required
- Experience with innovative sourcing techniques of passive candidates. Preferred
