Job SummaryUnder the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of functions related to receiving, stocking and delivery of medications within an acute care or non-acute care pharmacy.
Performs pharmacy functions, not requiring a license to support the operations of the department.
Essential Functions
Outpatient Pharmacy :
- Assists in stocking medication within the pharmacy.
- Rotates stock and maintains a clean stock area.
- Packages and ships home delivery prescriptions.
- Orders shipping supplies.
- Responds to customer requests for package tracking information.
Qualifications
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent A level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a general high school diploma program or GED.
- Prefer previous hospital pharmacy experience or graduate of a pharmacy technician training program. Preferred
