Job Description
Job Title: Public Educator/Health Promotion CommincationsLocation: Health Promotion and Wellness Clinic, Camp Pendleton, CASchedule: Monday to Friday (0600-1800)Shifts: 8.5, 9, or 10.5-hour shifts with an uncompensated 30-minute or 1-hour meal break
Description:We are seeking a dedicated Health Promotion Specialist to join our team at the Family Medicine Clinic. In this role, you will directly support efforts in primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention through the development and execution of health promotion programs. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams, including marketing and clinical staff, to enhance community health and wellness.
Core Duties:
- Develop and execute mass and individual health promotion communications
- Train hospital and Naval staff in health promotion program protocols
- Implement health programs, internet-based tools, and mobile applications
- Collaborate with Command Marketing Team for comprehensive social media strategy
- Track metrics of success for primary, secondary, and tertiary health efforts
- Assist in the review and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Coordinate special projects such as health promotion workshops and health fairs
Requirements:
- Degree/Education: Masters level education preferred in Health Promotion, Health Policy, Public Health, Community Health, or nursing with Masters level preparation in nursing administration or education
- Certifications: Basic Life Support and others as per Exhibit 5
- Experience: Three or more years of relevant experience in conducting health promotion programs
- Board Certification: As per Exhibit 5
- Licensure/Registration: As per Exhibit 5
