JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing direction and leadership to designated staff. Develop and maintain product integrity strategies and oversee engineering initiatives. Coordinate and collaborate with Construction, Dispatch, Warehouse, Technical Operations and Care operations to ensure optimal customer experience. Responsible for developing capital budgets, purchasing, staff development, managing the support of existing products and the deployment of new products.
Responsible for the development, testing and certification of both DOCSIS and PON related devices and technologies.
Understanding of the existing MSOs DOCSIS and Fiber network architectures (i.e., Hardware, Software Network Devices) is required.
The candidate must have a strong background and understanding of access products from vendors such as CommScope, Cisco, Casa, Vecima, Harmonic and Adtran.
The position requires technical working knowledge overseeing a team working on the following technology areas:
- CCAP, DAA (Remote PHY, Remote MAC/PHY)
- DOCSIS standards including DOCSIS 3.1 and DOCSIS 4.0
- DOCSIS CPEs, eMTAs, Cable Modems, Wireless Routers and Gateways
- Flexible MAC Architecture (FMA), FDD and FDX technologies
- FTTP technologies, EPON: OLTs, Remote OLTs (R-OLT), ONUs
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Manage engineering staff involved in the design, implementation, maintenance, enhancement and troubleshooting of product delivery platforms.
Provide overall direction for all areas of engineering support for system locations regarding new and existing technologies and current operating standards.
Consult with managers regarding technical operations and strategic planning of rebuilds, network operations and dispatch, new product development and deployment.
Responsible for compliance with company engineering standards, policies and procedures.
Maintain good relations with local utilities, vendors, contractors and government agencies.
Monitor and provide guidance in the capital budget process to ensure projects are cost effective, completed on time, and on budget.
Provide quality assurance support and direction to engineering staff regarding new or existing technologies, company technical quality assurance (TQA) standards.
Develop an effective front line Leadership team and assist them with developing their direct reports as to drive a high performance culture and environment.
Monitor current procedures and tests performed in accordance with FCC standards to ensure compliance.
Perform other duties as requested by Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
3 years of Project Management work experience
3 years of Related leadership experience
7 years of Engineering HFC and Networking experience

The pay for this position has a salary range of $110,800.00 to $196,400.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
