JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President of Mobile Strategy will lead a team to execute high profile, high intensity, short duration and long-range projects to evolve the business strategy to accelerate growth in mobile and wireless connectivity. This role will proactively drive the mobile ecosystem through partnerships, technology enablement, new business models and customer experiences.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Define mobile strategy through analytics, benchmarking, trends, regulatory, customer insights, competitive landscape and canvasing the ecosystem and turning the information into an ongoing roadmap that informs Senior Leadership where to invest resources for growth.
Develop and lead a team of direct reports in market research, modeling, analytics, investment and technology.
Lead a team that evaluates all mobile-related or impacts of investment targets in collaboration with corporate finance functions through an efficient due diligence / screening process that provides overall investment recommendations.
Develop and implement complex strategic plans on monetization and convergence while aligning with the corporate strategy.
Guide direction and approve / advocate for tactical administrative and/or strategic operational policies to support mobile and convergence strategies while structuring required operational resource model(s) to ensure achievement of objectives.
Identify and incubate partner opportunities that either lead to longer-term strategic growth or fail fast.
Engage and manage relationships with various external stakeholders including specific industry organizations focused on building or developing programs and initiatives that align with Charter's mission to provide superior products and service.
Actively provide thought leadership (while also being able to roll up sleeves) on approach and resolution for high impact strategy projects for diverse opportunities and challenges that Charter and all of its department's face.
Ensure alignment between the corporate strategy, business strategy and technical solutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in a regulatory or government function that enables identification of macro trends that can be leveraged and translated into prescriptive actions to shape corporate strategy and long range plans

Ability to combine expert level knowledge of mobile industry (including KPIs) with macro-economic factors and technology trends to identify competitive landscape dynamics, create and/or influence internal forecasts, budgeting and projections
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, problem-solve, identify key issues, and creatively overcome internal challenges and/or obstacles to deliver on objectives
Established track record in creating CEO and Board level presentations that help to define corporate strategy and align senior executives to deliver a common message
Ability to manage and foster change
Ability to build and lead large, cross-functional teams in order to achieve business goals and results

Experience in creating and executing against analytics & reporting strategy
Ability to listen to multiple points of view and synthesize against goals for recommendations
Experience dealing with ambiguity and structuring path forward that is actionable for direct reports and broader cross functional organization
Experience working at publicly traded company and supporting Investor Relations
Experience in negotiating and structuring complex contracts and tracking after execution for company benefit including with NDAs, Master Service Agreements (e.g. OEMs), MCSA Master Consulting Services Agreement, Statements of Work (e.g. Consulting Firms)
Experience in leading Telco & OEM supply chain integration by aligning corporate & channel strategy and 3PL/VMI options; Ability to mitigate supply chain risk by managing WOS and identifying correct assortment of SKUs with application of JIC vs. JIT in CPFR
Experience leading or supporting post-merger integration of M&A targets, with a focus on MVNOs
Experience in a lead or functional support role for spectrum auctions
Experience leading VC and or fund of fund strategy in the telecom, technology, and/or digital media
Ability to lead multiple projects and tasks
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to show judgment, initiative and relentless determination to accomplish job duties
Ability to analyze and interpret data and synthesize recommendations

The pay for this position has a salary range of $190,000.00 to $316,400.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
