A growing mid-sized government contractor is seeking an experienced Pricing Analyst to join their team. This is a critical role within the organization, responsible for preparing cost and pricing proposals in response to government solicitations, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and adhering to federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pricing, financial analysis, and government contracting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost and pricing models in response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other government solicitations.
- Analyze solicitation requirements, collaborate with various departments (contracts, business development, program management, etc.), and provide recommendations to optimize pricing strategies.
- Prepare and analyze pricing data, cost estimates, and price-to-win analysis, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Support the preparation of pricing proposals, including direct labor, indirect costs, materials, and subcontractor quotes.
- Provide detailed financial analysis, identifying key cost drivers, risks, and opportunities for cost reductions.
- Maintain pricing documentation, ensuring proposals are compliant with company standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.
- Participate in contract negotiations, providing pricing and cost analysis support.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and improving internal pricing tools, templates, and processes.
- Monitor and analyze contract performance post-award, ensuring alignment with cost estimates and financial targets.
- Stay current on government contracting trends, regulations, and industry best practices to provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of overall experience in financial analysis, government contracting, or a similar field, with 3-4 years of specific pricing experience in government contracts.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations, including FAR, DFARS, CAS, and other federal requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and financial modeling. Experience with proposal pricing tools and software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, leadership, and external clients.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with GSA schedules, IDIQ contracts, and/or cost-plus, time and materials (T&M), and firm-fixed-price (FFP) contracts is highly desirable.
