What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at SpeedPro Northern Virginia?

SpeedPro Northern Virginia is a fast-growing large format printing company based in Sterling, Va. with a mission to create superior signage solutions for businesses in the DMV region. SpeedPro NOVA’s professionalism, personal touch, and creative solutions are unique characteristics which increase brand awareness for our clients.

SpeedPro NOVA is looking for a graphic designer that will manage pre-press as well as end-to-end design for clients that require creative services for their signage, wall graphic, vehicle graphic, display needs, and more. Position also assists production department. A customer service first personality is a must.

Responsibilities

  • File Preparation: Prioritize projects, check order design notes and/or marketing for client specifics, review client artwork for resolution, specifications accuracy, and layout
  • Design: Develop designs for clients as needed for signs, vehicle wraps, display graphics to include holding concept meeting, managing design budget, creating design comps, managing proof process
  • Pre-Production: Set up client approved artwork file for print/production
  • Post-Production: Create vehicle wrap/wall graphic/sign/other install instructions and layout
  • Production: As needed, assist in production, ensuring printing and finish work stays on track

Qualifications/Skills Required:

· Graphic Design degree preferred

· 5 years of experience preferred

· Creative

· Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite

· Strong work ethic

· Self-motivated

· Organized/attention to detail

· Willingness to learn and take direction

· Solid computer/technology skills—knowledge with Microsoft Office, ability to learn other software such as sign production management system
