Spence Brothers, a General Contractor and Construction Manager, is looking to fill a full-time Project Engineer position within our Ann Arbor office. There are a variety of tasks, as well as a variety of skills necessary to be successful in this important role within our company.
Responsibilities
Manage submittal process for all Ann Arbor based projects
- Develop submittal logs
- Collect, review and submit LEED information
- Manage submittal process utilizing Procore
- Review submittals prior to submission
- Track and make follow up calls to subcontractors and architect
Assist with closeout process
- Prepare closeout logs
- Contact subcontractors and coordinate their submissions
- Review closeouts
- Assemble closeouts manuals
Assist with document management for Ann Arbor based projects
- Import and process drawings into Procore
- Import and process specifications into Procore
- Facilitate document scanning and storage into Procore
Assist with Preconstruction
- Participate in drawing and specification review process
- Develop Value Engineering ideas and create logs
- Attend pre-bid meetings
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree (minimum)
- Construction Related Degree Preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Additional Qualifications
- Proficiency with industry standard scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, etc)
- Experience with Procore is a plus.
- Can do / will do attitude.
- The candidate must display strong communication and organization skills
