Key areas of focus include curriculum development, instructional strategies, industry connections, technology integration, assessment and evaluation, professional development, student support, community engagement, DECA experience, career planning, and internship oversight.- Hold Chapter 74 Marketing Teacher License- Design and implement a curriculum that aligns with Massachusetts Chapter 74 standards for Marketing Education, integrating modules on relevant software applications as needed including Microsoft and Adobe suites.- Develop lessons to teach students practical marketing skills and knowledge applicable to real-world scenarios.- Employ various instructional methods such as hands-on exercises, group projects, and case studies to engage students and promote active learning. -Provide opportunities for students to apply marketing concepts through real-world simulations and projects.- Forge partnerships with local businesses, marketing firms, and industry professionals to provide students with networking opportunities, mentorship, and exposure to real-world marketing practices.- Invite guest speakers to share insights and experiences from the marketing industry with students.- Provide guidance and support to students in career exploration, resume writing, interview skills, and job search strategies.- Offer personalized assistance to students who need extra help in understanding marketing concepts or using technology tools.- Engage with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders to raise awareness about the importance of marketing education and its relevance to students' future success by scheduling and running meetings for the Program Advisory Committee- Showcase students' achievements and projects through community events and digital platforms to promote the program and attract prospective students.- Foster participation in DECA activities, competitions, and events to enhance students' leadership, teamwork, and marketing skills.- Provide guidance and support to students participating in DECA competitions, helping them prepare and excel in their chosen events.- Oversee program internships and work study placements, collaborating with local businesses to provide students with hands-on experience in marketing-related roles.
