What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Gardener position at Sperber Landscape Companies LLC?
This is a non-exempt position and is responsible for performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled landscape tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

General maintenance workers are typically part of a crew of three or more, who help maintain Homeowner Association landscape.
Responsibilities of the Job:
- Pick up trash
- Blow and pick up debris
- Trim tree suckers
- Weed flower beds
- Spot spray weeds in granite areas
Requirements of the job:
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must be able to follow company safety policies.
- Must be able to pass E-Verify.
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours a week) Monday through Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm.
- Candidates must have a positive attitude.
- Bi-Lingual preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid driver’s License preferred, but not mandatory.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Work Experience:
- Work experience is not necessary, but is a plus.

- Safety: Performs all job functions safely; complies with all safety policies, procedures, and standards (e.g., PPE, proper lifting, wears seat belt when in a vehicle); reports all safety-related incidents to management immediately; attends all safety meetings.
- Punctuality, Attendance, and Appearance: Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time expectations; adheres to company dress code policy; wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and attendance policy and procedures.

SPECIAL NOTES:
- Language: Though not required, bilingual English and Spanish skills are desirable.
- Working Conditions: Work is outdoors, exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and noise levels. Introductory Period: Incumbents appointed to this job classification serve an introductory period of 90 days.
- Frequently stand, walk, or crouch on narrow and/or slippery surfaces; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects; walk for long distances and on sloped ground and uneven surfaces; move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
