What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print System Admin position at Spherion Staffing?
Maintains and is primary subject matter expert on multiple workflows within the Print, Mail, and Check Matching stream; monitors and supports mail workflow systems / processes to include the refund check matching process and makes suggested system changes to resolve the issues
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and maintain scripts programing / coding on our Print and Mail servers.
Oversees SYST / DEV / Production Environments elevations (to include validations of implementation).
Maintains data files and monitors/resolves issues involving all check matching, print and mail applications
First level of support for all systems and process listed above (determine if it is an Aflac issue or Vendor issue); Liaison between Print and Mail Services and IT, Business Units and/or Business Partners.
Confers with users to analyze and define functional user requirements, to evaluate input and output requirements and formats, and to study system requirements, operational practices, procedures, and problems; recommends system improvements.
Maintain User logons and passwords for Nearstar DataServer, Nearstar ATOM/Check Matching Module, Pitney Bowes IPPM and Xerox Printers.
Install and Support Nearstar DataServer User Interfaces located at ASC/W, Communicorp, IT-EOS and Quality Assurance Department (SYST Only)
Develop and maintain all VDE scripts utilized on the Pitney Bowes PIOE Server
Submit and track all SCR, IRs and IT workorders for Print and Mail Services
Maintain all Metacode resource files located on DataServer; coordinates with IT-EOS on any jobchanges they make that impact resource files; coordinate with IT on all system changes that impact Print and Mail
IT - DR validator for Print and Mail Services for Nearstar DataServer; load license keys on Server and User Interface; validates the system is fully recovered and is functioning at full capacity; download Print files from DR test site and upload to DR print vendor (Spring DR test only)
Maintain several excel spreadsheets utilized for Print Impression volume reporting.
Validate all monthly Server Patch elevations
Supports multiple Operating Systems and platforms in Print and Mail services from MS-DOS thru Windows 10.
Provides formal and/or on-the-spot pre-print customized job software functional user training; answers user questions about hardware and software and provides other hands-on assistance as needed; develops end-user training documents and performs periodic systems inventory audits; performs data analyses and root cause analyses; provides timely, accurate, and actionable information in support of the division’s goals and initiatives.
Confers with functional units to identify information needs, to collect, analyze, and summarize information trends, and to develop automated reports; continually monitors the division’s information needs to modify existing systems to meet changing requirements and improve efficiencies.
Performs other duties as required.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree computer science or a related field, four to six years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
