Now hiring for Hand Packer. Spherion of Rhode Island currently has Hand Packer opportunities available to support our local, industry leading customer. Our Hand Packer will be working a first shift with limited required OT. The Hand Packer will support our customers for ensuring that finished products are properly packed and prepared for shipment, adhering to quality standards and production schedules. Mon thru Fri. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Packaging and Inspection: Carefully pack metal fabricated components and mechanical assemblies according to specific instructions and quality standards.

Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality specifications before packing.

Labeling and Documentation: Properly label packed items with identifying information and ensure accurate documentation of quantities and specifications.

Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by accurately counting and reporting packed items and materials used.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Skills

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Basic understanding of inventory management practices.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects if required.

Education

High School

Experience

1-4 years

Qualifications

Previous experience in packing or assembly work, preferably in metal fabrications or mechanical assemblies.

Ability to read and interpret packing instructions and technical drawings.
