We are seeking a Shop Tech Shop Tech will be operating hand and machine tools, including welding and cutting equipment, works at a bench or on the shop floor as job requires.
key responsibilitiesRead and implement set-up sheets for simple clad assemblies. Perform tasks such as metal cleaning, taping, sawing and other assembly-related tasks to assist other assembly technicians in construction of clad assemblies Operates stationary and / or portable grinders / buffer and pneumatic tools (wheel, dics or tannewitz and gantry belt types) to remove excess meal, oxidation and foreign matter from metal plates, etc.
Operates forklift and overhead crane in a safe manner under Company license requirements Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
