What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Sales Engineer position at Spirax Sarco Inc?
The Service Sales Engineer ethically achieves sales targets by delivering profitable growth through providing differentiated value to our customers, creating sustainable partnerships with existing and potential customers, across target industry segments.
Responsibilities:
- Provides new customers with a complete understanding of Spirax Sarco’s service solutions that drives value for our customers and ourselves.
- Actively seek Self-Generated Growth opportunities and generates service sales volume. Create service proposals to support all revenue streams (assessments, projects, maintenance contracts, digital portfolio).
- Achieve and exceed service sales targets through the development service sales offering and promotion in collaboration with regional sales team.
- Fully understands and comprehends Spirax Sarco’s Customer First Strategy.
- Presents Spirax Sarco service capabilities to all stakeholders using professional presentations, lunch & learns, and other effective means.
- Identify and promote meaningful value that improve will improve the customer’s business.
- Utilize a Consultative Selling approach to uncover customer pains and gains to maximize value for the customer
- Deploy Customer Value Propositions (CVP) to focus resources on identifying opportunities for and delivering value to the customer.
- Qualify customer potential for the release of new products and services.
- Participates in various networking group activities, professional organizations, and trade shows in order to develop new leads and customers.
- Maintains up to date records via Salesforce.com on opportunities, accounts, quotations, contacts, calls and meetings, to achieve periodic forecasts and goals.
- Manage leads and opportunity pipelines in Salesforce, and track conversion rates and win-loss reasons.
- Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers/Industry Segment Leads/Regional Sales Team on opportunities.
- Develop job workbook, quote, and supporting scoping/design documentation to support service opportunities.
- Present compelling proposals of Spirax Sarco’s service capabilities to deliver value-based solutions to the customer.
- Coordinates with all Spirax Sarco internal departments to align resources to resolve customer needs and objectives.
- Adhere to all Environmental, Health and safety (EHS) and Legal Compliance requirements.
- Live out the Company values at all times, and encourages the same of others.
- Proactively manage learning and professional development opportunities to increase individual competencies.
- Discuss new ideas, strategies and concerns with Managers to identify actionable solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in business to business sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in construction or service industries is a plus.
- Prior proven track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability
- Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, outlook and saleforce.com.
- Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to operate motor vehicle.
