As a Dealer Sales and Success Manager for Major Accounts, you’ll be responsible for winning business with dealerships that are part of the largest dealer groups in the U.S., then growing those dealerships into highly profitable, satisfied customers. This role is part of Spireon’s highest-growth division, Franchise Dealer, and will sell our industry-leading Kahu connected car solution. With Kahu, dealers make money, save money, and retain customers through an all-in-one telematics solution that drives PVR, grows service retention, manages inventory, and protects vehicles. For large dealer groups, Kahu’s impact to the bottom line and to improved operations is exponential.
The Major Accounts DSSM role will sell Kahu to dealerships where corporate agreements with their dealer groups are in place. Alternatively, you might introduce Kahu at a store or regional level that can become a foothold for a group agreement. After the sale, you will also be responsible for helping your dealerships maintain high usage, satisfaction and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Win business with dealerships who are part of the largest dealer groups in the U.S.
- Understand corporate objectives of the dealer group and manage stores to those expectations including reporting on store and/or regional-level performance
- Ensure a best-in-class customer experience from point-of-sale, through onboarding, and into account maintenance
- Grow the corporate group relationship by maintaining high profitability and satisfaction with your local and regional stores
- Work closely with Regional Account Managers to quickly solve customer issues and proactively manage customer health
- Drive adoption of Kahu across all stakeholder departments at a store and regional level including, sales, service, F&I, and operations
- Effectively present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers within a specified territory
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
- Effectively manage your time and activity to grow new business and meet the needs of existing customers
Requirements:
- Worked as a GM or GSM in a franchise dealership or did large-scale integrated solution software sales to dealerships, preferably with large dealer groups
- Self-motivated, team player who is resilient and detail oriented
- Established network of contacts in franchise dealerships
- Experience working with top dealership leaders: Owner, Principal, GM
- Understand car deal structure from front to back
- Ability to establish and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Develop product knowledge quickly and articulate how product impacts each department in the dealership
- Skilled communicator – both verbal and written
- Able to develop consultative, trusted relationships with dealership leadership to drive profitability, usage and satisfaction
- Up to 75% travel depending on size of region and distribution of dealerships including overnight stays
- Ability to work extended hours and be “on-call” after regular business hours as needed
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). College degree preferred.
- A clean driving record (Class B license in good standing, no DUI or felony driving offenses) is required for this position
- Experience with B2B and B2C sales training and solution adoption
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work within established support processes including Salesforce system
- Self-disciplined and motivated
- Comfortable with Start-Up environment
