We are looking for an onsite hands-on Technical Specialist to support our Automotive and Transportation product lines. You must be able to work across multiple teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
This is an on-site hands-on role at our 3PL location.
The technical specialist's duties include providing technical assistance, solving customer service queries, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. To be successful as a technical specialist, you should demonstrate expertise in software and hardware, as well as problem-solving skills.
Technical Specialist Responsibilities mainly a Liaison between Technical and Quality groups:
Technical support
• Installation and support of computers, software, cellular/wifi connectivity, cables, test assemblies and other equipment required to configure and prepare products for shipping
• Integration of backend systems between Spireon and Saddle Creek for efficiency, monitoring and management
• Proactive scheduled maintenance of equipment
• Evaluating technical programs, including New product introduction, set up and testing, alpha/beta support
• Training of staff on Spireon tools and processes, new products, etc
• Troubleshooting technical programs
• Bill-of-Materials review
Quality control
• Set up and monitor quality metrics
• Standardization of processes across all product lines. We process ATS / FAI (Sprint – TMO within FAI) differently
• Train, implement and improve SOPs
• Implement processes and tools to improve quality and reliability
• Providing customer support for programs and applications
• Error-proofing of shipments
• Finding ways to increase productivity and reduce expenses.
• Product Activation and FIFO
• Handling expedited and special requirement(s) products
• Review packaging requirements to accommodate product and accessories for entire customer order
Vendor Liaison
• Monitor operations including resources, materials, workload distribution and processes to achieve targets
• Quality control and productivity
• Cost management
Others
• Lean Methodologies implementation – 5S, Visual Aids, etc
Ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technology or a related field
- Prior work experience as a technical specialist
- Outstanding research skills
- Detail-oriented
- Solid organization and coordination skills.
