Role

The Splunk content marketing team is looking for an enthusiastic and creative self-starter to join our team as an intern. As a member of the team, you will work on a variety of writing and editing projects, which include global customer stories, emails, web copy, blog posts, landing pages, case studies and more. At Splunk we are inventing the future, and we are looking for smart, creative writers and editors who can help us build incredible content. You’ll have an opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the company to come up with new, engaging ways to tell the Splunk story. You will also help support the broader team on a variety of projects including improving editorial processes and providing general editorial support for the team.

Responsibilities

• Primarily focused on writing, editing and copy editing short-form content including articles, blog posts, web copy, landing pages, in-depth guides, customer stories and more
• Help manage our editorial calendar and content team projects and collaborate with other teams in the company to bring them to life
• Shadow senior writers and editors to learn content strategy and best practices for content
• Learn to do a deep dive into content analytics to gain insights on conversion and opportunities for improvement

Skill Requirements

• Undergraduate with 1-2 years of writing and editing experience 
• Sharp eye for good copy; copy editing experience a strong plus
• Team player who is willing to pitch in on a variety of content-related projects
• Organized and articulate, with impeccable attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills
• Love for the creative process including brainstorming
• Strong project management skills; deadline driven and able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
• Curious and excited to learn
