Warehouse Lead Shipper/Packer
FUNCTION: Responsible for making sure all orders leaving the warehouse are correct. Assists with managing employees to ensure shipping and receiving are done accurately and efficiently. Performs all of the manager’s duties in the manager’s absence.

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
WORKS REGULARLY WITH: Warehouse Associates
This is a full-time non-exempt position that works a standard work week of Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm PT.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but are not limited to the following:
Primary:
- Performs final check as part of quality assurance prior to shipping orders
- Demonstrates ability to properly parcel orders into separate boxes and package correctly to prevent damage
- Routes orders with the correct carriers and tracks bills of lading properly
- Records all incurred freight costs properly on pick tickets
- Maintains cost control practices when using packing materials and recording usage of shipping materials
- Successfully instructs and assists with training new team members
- Provides constructive criticism and leadership to improve staff performance
- Provide freight quotes whenever needed
Secondary:
- Properly rotating stock and storage of overstock items
- Assist in general facility upkeep and maintenance
- Ensures a clean workspace and warehouse
- Receiving merchandise utilizing quality assurance checks throughout the process, both physically and into the inventory management system
- Operate machinery including forklifts, hand trucks, balers and other equipment associated with warehouse functions
- Pulls items of various sizes and quantities accurately and efficiently, employing quality assurance processes throughout the order fulfillment process
- Fulfill will call orders and release to customers as needed
- Assists with inventory procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and understand written and oral instructions
- Ability to lift objects weighing 75 pounds or more regularly
- Ability to work standing and walking throughout the workday
- Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly
Preferred:
- Warehouse experience
- Ability to operate a forklift
COMPETENCIES:
- PC and keyboard competencies for use of inventory management system and limited web page usage
- Perform basic mathematical functions in the course of order fulfillment and receiving
- Ability to clearly read and understand warehouse location codes and part numbers
