What does a trivia host do?
Sporcle Events is the largest trivia company in the country offering in-person events at bars and restaurants. This is a PART-TIME position. New hosts start with one event per week and receive paid training.
As a host, you’ll be expected to:
- Recruit trivia players and build an event that players look forward to every week
- Interact with venue staff to ensure that your event is a weekly highlight
- Reliably host a weekly event for at least six months
From beginning to end, each event lasts approximately 3 hours.

What’s a HireVue?

What are the qualifications?
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD
- You should be engaging, fun, energetic
- You should be able to connect with people easily and be comfortable speaking in front of a crowd
- You should be able to multi-task
- You must be moderately computer savvy, have a laptop that is HDMI-capable, and have ad-free access to a music service or a downloaded playlist
- Hospitality, sales, or previous public-speaking background is a huge plus
- You must be able to reliably transport equipment weighing approximately 35 pounds
What’s the pay?
New hosts earn a minimum of $60 per 3-hour event (pay increases based on average event participation). There are opportunities to earn more by hosting additional weekly and private events!
