Summary / Objective

The FOH Supervisor provides overall leadership, supervision, and direction of shift operations along with specific department duties or other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Very simply, be the best. Build regulars and ensure that your guests have the kind of experience that they come back for. Give the kind of service that you would enjoy.
  • Greet new guests in a prompt and friendly manner.
  • Maintain the company standards for alcohol awareness and service.
  • Take guest food and beverage orders accurately, if wait staff needs help.
  • Be readily available to answer guest food and beverage questions by maintaining working knowledge of food and beverage menus.
  • Monitor guest experience constantly, i.e., check back after they get their food, maintain drink levels, pre-bus plates and glasses.
  • Participate in and drive company initiatives and promotions.
  • Have or obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and use such knowledge in day-to-day procedures.
  • Have or obtain Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
  • Maintain company safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of wait stations and sales floor.
  • Perform open and close duties, including, but not limited to, stocking condiments, rolling silverware, stocking cups, plates, etc.
  • Maintain stock of operating supplies.
  • Bus and reset tables.
  • Follow all food and beverage transportation guidelines to ensure the best possible guest experience.
  • Provide consistent excellent guest experience.
  • Deliver the best guest experience through consistent quality of food, beverage, and gaming in a safe and clean facility.
  • Monitor guest service and maintain operational standards.
  • Make sure all bus tubs are clean and consistently emptied.
  • Keep all seating areas clean, including chairs, barstools, booths, booster seats and highchairs.
  • Uphold the culture and standards of Santa Rosa Entertainment Company, LLC.
  • Provide excellent guest service in a friendly, positive, efficient, and enthusiastic way.
  • Always greet guests with a smile and positive attitude.
  • Acquisition, development, and retention of team members.
  • Develop teamwork through strong leadership and fostering an environment of open communication through listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct meetings (one-on-ones and shift meetings) to educate, evaluate and address the ideas and needs of the staff.
  • Create and maintain a positive working relationship with all company team members and promotes a fun and productive work environment.
  • Provide a positive role model for other team members.
  • Drive profitability and control costs.
  • Recognize and implement cost control opportunities, providing effective leadership and staff.
  • Maintain security of all storage and cash-handling areas of the building.
  • Maintain and promote strong attention to detail and adherence to company operating, profitability and cost control standards.
  • Maintain full knowledge of TOAST POS, Open Table and other systems. Train and direct staff as needed on these applications.
  • Anticipate opportunities and proactively prevent issues from occurring. Ensure guests leave with a positive experience.
  • Identify potential problems/concerns and communicate with supervisors and management to prevent issues from negatively impacting the guest experience.
  • Promptly contact game techs, supervisors, or management when guests have questions or issues in the respective areas that cannot be resolved.
  • Make sure guests leave the premises with a satisfactory experience, enlisting the help of other team members, supervisors or managers as needed.
  • Maintain proper stock of supplies, communicating needs or shortages with management.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Uniform requirements: Safe and neat uniform consisting of black pants, black nonslip shoes.
  • Other duties as directed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a busy bar / restaurant environment, as well as guest service areas. Proper training will be given prior to using any dangerous equipment. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, and cleaning chemicals.

Physical Demands

The employee is required to stand 100% of their shift, climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, using proper lifting procedures.

  • Available to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary.
  • Have the ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with many distractions.
  • Have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Have the ability to move around the facility and walk or stand 100% of the shift.
  • Have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and clean frequently.
  • Have or obtain Food Handlers Certification.
  • Have or obtain ABC RBS Certification.
  • Must be 21 years of age or above.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in commercial restaurant & bar.
  • Guest service skills.
  • Bilingual a plus.
