Producer
As a SportsGrid producer, you will play a pivotal role in the creation, organization, and execution of a dynamic television show focused primarily on sports wagering. You will collaborate with the host, executive producer, technical director, and graphics producer develop engaging content, coordinate logistics and ensure the smooth operation of the show. Your responsibilities include:
- Conceptualize and develop show topics, segments, and guest appearances in collaboration with the host, executive producer, technical director, and graphics producer.
- Research upcoming sporting events, betting trends and industry news to provide relevant content for the show.
- Create detailed show rundowns to guide the team through each edition of the program.
- Collaborate with graphics producer, creating unique looks, segment ideas, videos, and graphics to keep the screen moving.
- Coordinate booking guests, including sports betting experts, analysts, athletes, and other relevant figures, ensuring timely confirmation and preparation.
- Communicate effectively with the hosts providing support, feedback, and guidance to enhance their performance and maintain the show's quality.
- Owning the pre-show checklist and post show report to ensure quality throughout broadcast.
- Monitor audience feedback and engagement through social media, listener/viewer surveys, and other channels, and implement adjustments to improve the show's appeal and relevance.
Qualifications include:
- Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge and interest in sports, particularly in relation to sports betting, with a keen understanding of betting terminology, odds analysis, and wagering strategies.
- Proficiency with audio/video production equipment and software and understanding of the Adobe suite.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members, guests, and external partners.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality content that meets audience expectations and industry standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, unexpected developments, and last-minute adjustments in show planning and execution.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the sports schedule and live programming demands.
- Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required, with relevant experience considered equally valuable.
