The Job:
Under the supervision of the ILS Program Manager, you will support and teach functional life skills to adults with disabilities that align with their individual support plan to help them grow in their independence and live happy, healthy lives in the environment of their choice. Advocacy, basic cooking, maintaining a home, managing medical appointments, healthy living, accessing community resources, community inclusion, and accessing transportation are some things you may be working on with your clients.
This position manages their caseload while supporting and working with the individuals assigned to them while collaborating with families, service coordinators, and the individual's circle of support. Typically we meet with two to three clients daily in their homes or out in the community to work on their goals. This position requires you to transport your individual into the community for appointments and/or to run errands. You will also be responsible for writing progress reports quarterly for your individuals, as well as coordinating meetings with the local Regional Center and your client's support team.

We will train those with minimal or no experience in this field if your personality seems to be a good fit for the individuals we serve and our team.

Preferred Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A degree is not necessary. We are looking for those with strong values and a great work ethic, a welcoming, positive personality, and the drive to succeed.
- ILS, SLS, caretaking, CNA, history of working with children or adults with IDD or other disabilities.
We will train you on the job so you have the experience and the skills required to be successful in this field.
Reliable and safe transportation, a valid CDL, car insurance, and valid car registration are necessary as you will spend 95% of your day in the field working with clients. The other 5% will be administrative, which will involve writing reports, documentation, emails, etc. Must be willing to drive within a 35-40 mile range to meet with clients assigned to you.
