What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant position at Spring Fertility?
Role Summary
The Physician Assistant is an essential part of our provider team. The Physician Assistant provides direct patient to individuals undergoing treatment cycle. They partner with the physician team to assess, diagnose and order/interprets tests. The position requires an individual who takes pride in working with patients and provides highly personalized care. Our PAs/NPs work closely with all members of our clinical team and provide guidance and support.
Day-to-day job duties:
- Provide compassionate care to all Spring patients
- Daily chart audits and MD chart review and preparation
- Perform weekly cycle start/baseline checklist reviews for cycle start readiness
- FDA screening (history and physical, questionnaire and lab work screening/review), compliance, and initial determination sign off
- Perform baseline ultrasounds and follow up monitoring ultrasounds for IUI and IVF
- Manage patient treatment plans for IUI patients
- Perform a variety of procedures such as: HSG (hysterosalpingograms), saline sonograms and IUI (intrauterine insemination)
- Review semen analysis and follow up with patients
- Consult for outside/self- referred sperm cryopreservation patients
- Included in after hours on-call rotation
- Post retrieval/procedure symptom complaint evaluation/assessment
- Conducts procedural pre op assessments
- Assists in pre and post op procedure area, as needed
- Resource nursing staff
- Use electronic medical records and work off “task lists” to complete patient visits or requests.
- Completes forms and requisitions in electronic medical record
- Documents all required information in electronic medical record
- Provides patients with accurate information when answering questions and concerns.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- Bachelor's degree
- California PA License
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in women's health
- ACLS Certification
- Experience in fertility high preferred, but not required
Employment Type
This is a full-time exempt onsite position that requires early hours, rotational weekends and holidays.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $120,000-$155,000 annually. Salary is based on several factors including job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees.
