What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Habilitation Worker position at Springbrook NY Inc?
Looking for a responsible adult to provide support with skill building and supervision for an individual with a development disability in the Broome County/Endicott area. The candidate for this position will need to ensure the promotion of choice and protective oversight while demonstrating compliance with all Springbrook and OPWDD policies.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Experience with individuals who are developmentally disabled is preferred
-Must be able to lift 50 Ibs. Independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 Ibs.
-Must have a valid driver’s license and must be willing to be able to provide transportation to person receiving services.
-Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
-Professional verbal and written communication skills.
-Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software
Duties:
-Provide direct care in all aspects of daily living, including but not limited to maintenance of hygiene to an individual that is non-ambulatory
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
