Description
The LNA/Mental Health Worker will:
- Follow the plan of care as directed by the RN.
- Communicate information to the appropriate places.
- Perform safe patient care, adhering to protocols and competencies of Springfield Hospital. The protocols and competencies have been approved by Springfield Hospital are within the Licensed Nursing Assistant scope of practice as delineated by the Vermont State Board of Nursing.
- Take responsibility for maintaining and or increasing knowledge base in area of practice.
- Assist in the management of the milieu in accordance with the policy and procedures to ensure safety and a therapeutic environment.
- Lead and co-lead patient groups.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an approved course for Licensed Nursing Assistants
- Current Vermont LNA license
- Competency Training in Vital Sign Assessment & ADL assistance
- Competency Training in the use of the Emergency Restraint Chair, S-Cut Tool, Halligan Bar
- Group Leadership
- Pervious healthcare experience (preferred)
- Experience with CBT, DBT (preferred)
