sproos! is looking for a qualified Social Media Manager (freelancer) to join our team part-time.

Role
- Work closely with the core team to produce consistent and strategic organic content on Instagram, starting with 2 social media posts per week.
- Coordinate, produce, film and edit the monthly content for the @sprooshome Instagram account. This will be divided into 6 Pieces of content (Reels, static and carousel posts). 2 pieces of content will be provided by another team member.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure content is executed and analyze engagement and growth to adjust creative for optimizing posts
- Daily monitoring and maintenance of social media channels (Instagram and TikTok)
- Exemplify the brand voice and tone in community interactions
- Proactively flag notable engagement opportunities for the brand and escalate issues as needed promptly
Goals
- Ensure a consistent brand presence on Instagram and TikTok through regular sharing of content (2 posts per week, repurposed between each platform)
- Engage, entertain and educate new and existing followers to drive brand awareness and grow our following
Roles and Responsibilities
Content Production
- Support in the ideation and production of six pieces of content per month (3 reels and 3 static/carousel posts).
- Share and re-share stories on Instagram.
- Schedule and post content using Meta and repurpose content for TikTok as seen fit.
Reporting
- Share one email at the end of each month that gives an overview of:
- Reach, engagement and overall performance
- Recommendations and any lessons learned
Requirements
- 3 years experience working in social media, either on the agency, publisher, or brand side with an ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of all major social media platforms
- Strong understanding of how all social platforms work
- Strong copywriting skills and understanding of consumer behaviour and platform language nuances
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills
