What to Expect:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of an elite team ensuring the quality of products and processes from global suppliers. Your role will involve both virtual and onsite assessments, focusing on maintaining our client's high standards. This one-day audit position requires flexibility and a keen eye for detail.
\n- Conduct Virtual and Onsite Assessments: Evaluate supplier products and processes according to our client's stringent requirements using QuaSAR and ProBAR tools.
- Quality Management System Audits: Assess suppliers' QMS against our client's QuaSAR QMS and ProBAR product quality requirements, ensuring procedures, work instructions, and documentation meet our standards.
- Inspection Verification: Ensure inspection equipment and methodologies are capable of detecting defects, and validate in-process controls and records traceability.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform RCCA, failure analysis, and 8D problem-solving to address and mitigate quality issues.
- Report Compilation: Compile detailed assessment reports, incorporating evidence and documenting scores and identified gaps.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with suppliers and our client's internal teams to resolve quality issues and ensure effective implementation of CAPA procedures.
- Support Testing: Witness and assess tests, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), ensuring compliance with commissioning processes before shipment to our client's Data Centers.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and PFMEA documents, driving continuous improvement in supplier processes.
- 5 years in quality engineering, with expertise in statistics, variability reduction, manufacturing methods, and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of RCCA, failure analysis, 8D, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- A degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to detect discrepancies and ensure thorough, accurate quality assessments.
- Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and driving solutions.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations as required.
