ATCHISON KANSAS RAILROAD PROJECT

We are hiring Laborers for a railroad project that consists of removing out of service railroad track from the ground, organizing material and loading trucks.

Requirements:

• Drivers' License
• Clean driving record
• Hard worker
• Experience running heavy machinery

Essential duties:

• Grading material
• Sorting railroad material
• Use of measuring tape
• Heavy Lifting
• The possibility to travel to various job sites
• Reads and interprets plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities
• Follows company and industry safety rules, practices and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Good attendance
• Demonstrated ability to bend, stoop, walk, reach, twist, climb and lift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time for extended periods of time on uneven terrain such as railroad ballasts and icy ground.
• Ability to understand and identify safety labels and operation instructions
• Ability to stay alert of movable equipment in or around the railyard.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.
• Ability to work in harsh environments and inclement weather.

Benefits:

• Weekly Pay $17 per hour plus overtime = $807.50 per week
