Job Description:

You are passionate about improving the client experience through the deployment of software solutions that use the most current technology. As a Devops Engineer, you build innovative, automated DevOps solutions to achieve massive scale, constant uptime, and rapid product change simultaneously. You apply your programming skills, system administration skills, operational skills, and large-scale architecture skills on a daily basis. You'll mentor the existing team members in order to bring in the next generation of DevOps leaders.


Responsibilities:


Designing and building highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant infrastructure & networking.
Communicate, collaborate and work along with the Engineering teams to help out with Infrastructure automation long term needs.
Improve others ability to deliver great quality work and is someone who team members look up to in terms of giving them the required guidance and help the team grow.
Responsible for driving operational excellence for the connected services that a business offers to its customers to deliver an "always on" operation, year round, at the right cost.
Analyses and synthesizes a variety of inputs to drive the end-to-end incident management process for multiple offerings.
Overseeing change management & configuration management operating mechanisms.
Driving root cause analysis (RCA) and risk management processes.
Driving ongoing improvements and efficiencies in operational practices, tools & processes.



Required Skills:


Bachelors' experience with 15 years' experience in a DevOps role
Build, deploy and manage business applications to cloud platforms using Containers orchestration, Service mesh, API gateways, CI/CD components & Observability stacks.
Experience/Knowledge about K8S, Envoy, API gateway (Kong), Service Mesh (Istio &  linkerd/conduit) Infrastructure as code & Configuration management with tools like Terraform, Chef, Ansible etc.
Observability practices and toolchains (Monitoring, Metrics, Logging, Alerts & Tracing).
Cloud security / DevSecOps Practices.
Deep knowledge of Linux as a production environment, container technologies. e. g. Docker, Infrastructure As Code such as Terraform, K8S administration at large scale. Strong understanding of cluster orchestrators and schedulers (Kubernetes, Mesos ).
Should have mentored a team and brought the best out of them and created the next generation of DevOps leaders.
Expertise in configuration management via Terraform, Chef or Ansible.
Excellent bash, and scripting fundamentals and strong hands on with scripting in programming languages such as python, ruby.
Expertise in distributed system fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot issues in a larger distributed infrastructure.
Have worked on production distributed systems and have an understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful / Graphql services, CI/CD.
Strong knowledge on the Database systems and bring in best practices from the stability point of view.
