Durable Medical Equipment Technician

SS Medical is solely a VA contractor that takes pride in servicing our Veteran's DME needs. We have hours of operation from 7:30am-4:30pm but depending on where work load and the scheduling each day, there are days that you have to come in early (6amish) and there are days that you will not get off until late (7-8)pm. That will not be every day but depending on the work load and where they veteran's are located there are days you have to come in early and stay late to complete the route. We service eastern corridor of Oklahoma and go into Western Arkansas to service the Veteran's DME needs. You get more out of this job then a paycheck, you go home every night knowing you made the life of a Veteran more comfortable.

The job responsibilities, requirements, and duties are.....

• Must Be Able to Lift More Than 100lbs
• Must Be Able to Pass a Drug Test
• An Almost Clean Driving Record For the Past 3 years
• Must Have Transportation To and From Work
• Delivering Home Medical Equipment/Durable Medical Equipment
• Previous Experience Repairing Power Mobility Products (Power Wheelchairs, Scooters)
• Instructing on Proper Use and Care of Equipment
• Carrying Heavy DME/HME into Veteran's Home
• (Hospital Beds, Patient Lifts, Instructing on Proper Use of High-End Power Mobility Products and Receiving a Return Demonstration)
• Setting Up CPM on Veteran’s After Surgery
• Driving Long Distances to Veteran's Home to Deliver/Repair DME/HME
• Proper Documentation, Completes Required Paper Work and Adheres to HIPPA Guidelines
• Following SS Medical Standards That Mimic The Joint Commission Standards
• Maintain an Organized Company Vehicle
• Maintain a Weekly Tool Inventory List for the Company Issued Vehicle
• Safely and Defensively Obeying All Traffic Laws
• Time Management Skills
• Must Be Mechanically Inclined
• Trouble Shooting Skills
• Hard Worker
• Critical Thinking Skills

Experience:

• delivering durable medical equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
• installing harmar power mobility lifts: 1 year (Preferred)
• repairing rehab level power wheelchairs: 1 year (Preferred)
