Civil Engineer

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is looking for a Civil Engineer to provide on-site Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS). This role supports the Engineering and Design Division (D4) of the Design and Construction Business Line (DCBL) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL.   Responsibilities Include:  Provide independent and professional civil engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands. Provide support for a wide range of civil engineering projects/services, including site developments, roads, airfields, water supply, sewer systems, drainage, dredging, solid waste facilities, shore protection, and other civil works, catering to diverse climatic, geographic, and environmental conditions, for both new and existing facilities, including large industrial facilities and buildings. Collaborate with project stakeholders and other engineering disciplines to ensure system coordination and integration with project requirements. Broad professional knowledge and experience in civil engineering theories, concepts, principles, and practices for a wide range of shore-based engineering projects.   Qualifications include: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil Engineering desired. Bachelor's Degree from an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering or Engineering Technology program. Minimum 5 years of civil design experience, including 1 year on Capital Improvement projects for a Federal Agency, and 5 years of professional civil engineering code-compliant facilities design experience. Experience with topographical survey equipment preferred. Familiarity with DOD and Navy guide specifications, industry codes and standards, and local, state, federal, and foreign laws affecting civil engineering design. Proficiency in software/systems such as Whole Building Design Guide (WBGD), AutoCAD, civil design/analysis software, Autodesk software, and Microsoft Office products. Understanding of related architectural and engineering fields and their impacts on civil engineering design. Ability to produce written analysis, consolidate findings, evaluate recommendations, and make oral presentations. Knowledge of budgeting, planning, project management techniques, including coordination of project teams.   Work Environment Availability to work on-site during standard 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.   SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is an environmental, energy, and facility services firm headquartered in San Antonio, TX.
