Job Summary
- As a Packaging Engineer, you will be based in New Albany, Ohio, and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects related to global supply, new product introductions, and combination products. Your expertise in pharmaceutical packaging, coupled with proficiency in AutoCAD and Illustrator software, will be invaluable in driving innovation and success in our packaging operations.
- Material Selection: Lead testing and evaluations to recommend packaging materials for various products.
- Distribution Testing: Perform distribution testing per ASTM D4169 and other relevant standards.
- Technical Documentation: Write test protocols and technical reports to support material selection decisions.
- Engineering Design: Create and approve engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Illustrator.
- Problem-Solving: Assist in troubleshooting packaging component issues and lead investigations.
- Validation Activities: Support line trials and packaging validation activities for new components/processes.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support pre-commercial and commercial activities.
- Minimum of a bachelors and 8 YOE in packaging.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Illustrator software.
- Familiarity with distribution testing standards (ASTM D4169, ASTM, ISO, etc.).
- Excellent technical documentation and report writing skills.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Project management and organizational skills.
