The project mechatronic will support project work for automated material handling equipment in a customer distribution center. The project work will primarily consist of the removal and/or installation (mechanical & electrical) of new conveyors, motors, rails, belts, bearings, LHDs and other automated machinery. This position will require the applicant to have a high degree of schedule flexibility, as many of our projects are scheduled during our customer’s non-operational hours. While supporting the customer’s maintenance department during peak season, the project mechatronic will report to the customer’s maintenance department. There will be times when a mechatronic will need to partner with a PLC Engineer and/or Software Support Engineer to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems. The primary role for the project mechatronic is being part of a project installation team.
