What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Hardware Technician II position at SSI?
Description
- Perform installation, and support of new Windows based computer systems
- Install Image and software on laptops and workstation
- Prepare the computers for deployments and support the deployment activities
- Assist with the installation and support of computer systems and peripherals
- Coordinates with Management for inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipping needs
- Assist in assuring that work products comply with established deliverable guidelines including format and content
- Assist in the development of documentation based on the customer's processes
- Travel to customer sites and perform deployment activities to include, site surveys, installs hardware, install software, remove hardware, check hardware for shipment etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
- Experience in Customer Service
- Must have active interim Secret clearance or higher, or be eligible for clearance
- Must be able to travel at least 25%
- Must be able to type
