What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Material Handler position at SSW Premier, LLC?
SSW Premier, LLC (previously known as Premier Manufacturing Corp.) is a division of SSW Advanced Technologies, a global leader in metal forming for the consumer products industry. We are searching a 2nd shift Material Handler at our plant in Henderson, Tennessee. As a result of our commitment to quality our facility is expanding rapidly. - Experience in Material Handling and Forklift Operations.
- Complete Operator’s Daily Forklift Checklist at the start of every shift. Keep the Checklist on the lift until the end of the shift following detailed instructions, including cleaning. ·
- Keep the lines supplied with needed material. Monitor and plan ahead.
- Must be able to use and communicate respectfully via handheld radio.
- Loads, unloads and moves material within or near plant, yard or worksite. ·
- Bundle the finish product.
- Must be able to lift, pull, and push more then 10 lbs.
- Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to determine materials or pull sheets.·
- Other duties as required to keep plant organized such as moving empty containers, scrap/trash bins and various other equipment.
- · Some paper work such as tagging of product, documentation of shipments or receipts. ·
- Cleanliness of area and 5S practices of work area. ·
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and SOPs. ·
- Other duties as required.
- Move empty pallets and racks from the line and place in designated area. Monitor and plan ahead.
- Remove labels from empty containers before placing the container in the production area.
- Move product to designated areas.
- Search designated areas for inventory.
- Move raw product to designated areas.
- Move finished product to designed areas.
- Dump scrap via dump bins in the proper containers located outside.
- Change out fuel tank.
- Keep aisles clear at all times.
- Utilize box cutter or approved utility knife.
- Be able to sit, stand, and walk extended periods of time. Ability to use/lift both arms and hands
- Be able to multitask and be a self starter.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
