What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic and Career Planning Coach position at St. Ambrose University?
Reporting to the Executive Director of Academic and Career Planning, St. Ambrose University has a position open for an Academic and Career Planning Coach. The Academic and Career Planning Coach will provide individual and group academic and career coaching to students within assigned area including but not limited to: academic course planning, vocational exploration, career decision making, resume and cover letter critique, job and internship search strategies, mock interviews, and networking strategies. The coach will learn curriculum and program requirements and employment trends for assigned majors/minors/focus options at St. Ambrose University including academic regulations, university policies/procedures. The coach will also support students in vocation exploration through 1:1 coaching, career assessments and intentional experiential education. Additionally, the coach will provide outreach and partnership management for the Academic and Career Planning Center and campus community.
This position is an integral part of a dedicated team and is expected to possess strong inter-personal, self-motivation and customer service skills. Bachelor's degree required or 6 years' experience in the area of responsibility with 1-2 years of related experience.
