St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Columbus, IN, is seeking a full-time Liturgist. The Liturgist's responsibility is to facilitate liturgical celebrations and experiences for parishioners at St. Bartholomew Catholic Parish. The Liturgist serves as a spiritual guide, fostering meaningful and reverent worship experiences that nourish parishioners' faith and deepen their connection to Jesus Christ. The Liturgist leads the planning, preparation, and execution of all Masses for St. Bartholomew, including St. Bartholomew Catholic School Masses. Coordinating lay liturgical ministers, preparing for each Mass, planning for special liturgical celebrations and feasts, and assisting with liturgical needs during Masses are essential duties of this position.
Candidates should possess good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a firm knowledge of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the General Instruction of the Roman Missal. Candidates must be fully initiated, practicing Roman Catholics living a life that is in harmony with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Bilingual is preferred.
