What are the responsibilities and job description for the Count Assistant Supervisor (Sweep Team) (FT) position at St. Croix Casino?
RATE OF PAY: $12.75/HR. OR D.O.E./POSSIBLE INCREASE UP TO 3% @ 90 DAYS!
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for the operation of the Count Team activities in the absence of the Supervisor. Ensure that the staff follows policies and procedures. Handle employee inquiries and complaints. Interact with other departments of the Casino.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. A minimum of one (1) year experience in the Count Room and some supervisory experience or training preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of high volume cash handling experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision. Must be self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work successfully with a high degree of autonomy.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to work in a confined space. Ability to work in an intense fast-paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required tasks. Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds on a consistent basis.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain security and accountability of Casino funds in the Count Room. Ensure Count Team Staff complies with policies and procedures. Report any infractions to the Cage/Vault Manager. Assist in the training of new and existing personnel, as directed. Schedule employees and approve days off when necessary. Interact with the technical department on the maintenance of cash handling equipment.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
