We are in search of a Senior Financial Analyst. This role will be a key asset in the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis organization. This individual will be a major player in the Company’s yearly budgeting and forecasting processes. In addition, they will be actively involved in the monthly operating plan variance analysis, as well as special projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to work independently, have a deep understanding of all financial statements, produce and communicate financial analysis at an executive level, and provide business insights and strategic support to the FP&A team and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Perform multiple financial analysis functions including expense reporting and analysis, resource planning and tracking, and cost savings analysis
- Create operating budgets for all departmental expenses and capex in collaboration with team leads within the client’s organization
- Prepare forecast scenarios/assumptions based on client’s inputs
- Measure performance against established budgets/forecasts and analyze variances
- Develop monthly review presentations and facilitate the meetings with each budget owner
- Ensure timely production of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis required to support internal customer
- Work with finance and corporate accounting team in support of monthly accruals, where applicable
- Review booked expenses during the month, validating appropriate coding and expected results and work with other functions (AP, GL, and Purchasing) to correct coding issues as discovered
- Partner with senior management and client organizations to guide their decision making, to ensure achievement of strategic objectives
- Manage other special projects as requested
- Other duties may be assigned based on experience, skill set and business needs
Qualifications
- BA/BS in accounting, finance, business or related discipline is required
- 5 years of related work experience
- Experience working in a fast pace/high growth environment where they have shown an ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a given time.
Functional/Technical Skills:
- Required:
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and financial planning skills
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills
- Experience with a large automated accounting / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in a commercial environment
- Be able to manage large amounts of data in an accurate and efficient manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty
- Nice to Have:
- Oracle and SAP financial skills and/or in depth knowledge of similar financial systems
- Experience working for a global, multi-national organization
