Overview

Job Responsibilities
- 25% – Manages the Dean’s calendar which includes scheduling appointments, reserving meeting rooms, communicating with other staff (internal and external to the College) and coordinating logistics to support meetings and appointments (catering, media, travel arrangements, etc.)
- 20% – Handles the functional aspects of the Banner System relevant to the School of Arts and Sciences. Responsibilities include schedule data input, data maintenance and generating reports
- 15% – Participates in the coordination of special events for the School of Arts and Sciences, including Chairs meetings, A&S faculty meetings, Arts and Sciences Award Ceremony, etc. Such functions may include data coordination, special mailings; room reservations, catering, participating in event planning meetings and following up on job-specific responsibilities
- 10% – Maintains recordkeeping associated with the affairs of the School of Arts and Sciences in support of the Dean
- 10% – Works with division Chairs and the Arts and Sciences Assessment Coordinator to support the logistics of data and report submission, analysis, and recordkeeping associated with assessment and faculty/program evaluation
- 10% – Website and Social Media Management (editing and updating the School’s intranet site, blog, and Instagram accounts)
- 5% – Screens incoming calls/appointment requests and receives visitors to the Dean
- 5% – Facilitates budget oversight by the Dean, activities include: tracking of requisitions, purchase orders, and expenditures; interacting with the Business Office; and organizing data and records needed for budget reports and related analysis required of the Dean
- Other tasks as assigned
Education / Experience
- A bachelors degree required with relevant office experience.
- Incumbent should have experience working in team and high level clerical positions
