Responsibilities
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process. She/he implements the Nursing Service standards of care and practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served and the areas of clinical practice. Utilizes the nursing process in the systematic assessment and formulation of individualized plans of care to meet patient s needs. Collaborates with other health care disciplines to coordinate patient care activities and discharge plans. Performs patient point-of-care Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) according to Nursing Service Policy and Procedure. Interprets abnormal/critical value BGM results and performs appropriate interventions according to Nursing Service Policy and Procedure. This position will cross train to ASU. Other related Nursing duties as required. Position covers Dobbs Ferry and Andrus pavillions as needed.
Qualifications
Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Required ACL,BLS,PALS. PACU experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
