Job Overview
Under the direction of Cardiologists perform 2D, color flow, and Doppler echocardiograms at a technical level not requiring supervision. Locates and identifies any anomalies of disease or injury. Performs imaging and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations and transesophageal echocardiography. Recognizes abnormal rhythms and notifies physician. Cleans and sterilizes equipment and workspace. Prepares patient records for review and interpretation.
Qualifications
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion from a Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied health Education Programs, Bachelor's degree preferred.
