Primary Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of tasks concerned with the sanitation, maintenance and upkeep of a Dining Service unit.
Cleans and maintains utility rooms, loading docks and trash areas.
Thoroughly cleans and polishes dining service equipment, fixtures and furniture.
Transports and stores dishes, utensils, equipment and supplies to the proper stations and/or storage areas.
Maintains and replenishes the beverage stations.
Cleans and mops the kitchen and public areas such as the dining room, lobbies and rest rooms in the Dining Service Unit.
Washes, mops, cleans, waxes, and maintains equipment, furniture, walls, floors, ceilings in the dining service unit. Washes and maintains the hoods, vents, ducts, filters, and grease traps.
Operates the dish washing machine
including regular cleaning of the machine.
Maintains the correct standards of cleanliness and safety in the work place.
Delivers and picks up catered events as needed.
Contributes to the total function of the dining service operation.
Schedule:
Monday- 6:30am – 2:30pm
Tuesday- 2:30pm – 10:30pm
Wednesday- 2:30pm – 10:30pm
Thursday- 2:30pm – 10:30pm
Sunday- 7:00am – 3:00pm
Days off: Friday and Saturday

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must have the ability to operate mechanical cleaning devices and to correctly measure, weigh and apply simple cleaning solutions.
Move 25 lbs or more a distance of 10 ft or more
Develop positive and productive working relationships.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, co-workers, and the campus community
Support a positive work environment through teamwork, honesty, approach-ability and a commitment to customer service.
Must be able to meet the university’s requirement to be authorized to drive a university vehicle.

$15.00 - $20.38 (SEIU Level A). The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
