Overview
St. Luke's Cancer Institute currently seeks a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our collegial and patient centered gynecology oncology team consisting of three physician providers and two APPs. The Gynecology Oncology clinic is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of care for women with gynecologic malignancies or complex benign conditions. We specialize in conditions such as cervical, endometrial (uterine), ovarian, vaginal, and vulvar cancer, as well as dysplasia/hyperplasia and gestational trophoblastic disease. We offer the most experienced care in the region; Our team of highly skilled surgeons performs a wide range of laparoscopic, open, and robotic (da Vinci®) surgeries, including hysterectomies, pelvic exenteration, pelvic floor and neo-vaginal reconstruction, vulvectomy, myomectomy, fistula repair, and more.
This opportunity includes a combination of first assist in the OR as well as providing post op follow up and chemotherapy management in the clinic setting. There is a potential that this role could be a clinic only role depending on the strengths or preferences of the candidate selected. This position will work four 10-hour shifts per week with no call.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
- Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
- Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
- Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
