Performs duties of Pharmacy Technician II proficiently. Demonstrates additional skills in I.V. admixtures, calculations, and compounding or be a competent, effective trainer with the ability to perform additional responsibilities. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.

Performs duties of Pharmacy Technician Level II.
Summary: Assists the Pharmacist to ensure safe, optimal and efficacious drug therapy for our patients. Assists Pharmacists in filling physician medication orders for patients, answering phone calls/window/tubes, restocking automated dispensing machines, replacing supplies for nursing and other ancillary areas, repackaging and labeling medications, required record keeping and delivering medications. All functions are performed in keeping with continuous quality improvement principles. Works within institutional and departmental policy and procedures. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.

Performs other duties as assigned by Pharmacist, Assistant Director, or Director. Includes increased responsibilities as student goes from year 1 through 6/7 of pharmacy school.

A.
Demonstrates proficiency in mixing small volume parenterals, LVP's, chemotherapy, and TPN's and batch preparation of syringes.
B.
Assists I.V. Pharmacist with proper supply, storage, and disposal of all I.V. drugs and supplies.
C.
Assists I.V. Pharmacist with required record keeping.
Performs other work duties as assigned.

Typing and simple math skills required.
Verbal and cognitive ability are necessary.
Education
High school graduate or GED equivalent
License - Certification - Registration (Text Only)
Current certificate/license as a pharmacy technician/intern in the State of MissouriExperience
Proficient as a Pharmacy Technician or Certified Technician and registered as a student at an accredited College of Pharmacy
