The Print Shop Specialist operates and handles preventive maintenance on all Print Shop equipment. Assists with ordering of supplies and record keeping of copier usage. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports printing and facilitates setup and delivery of all printing requests, within 48 hours (if possible), to all departments in the hospital Maintains an updated master file of all digital print files Operates, in a safe manner, all equipment used in the Print Shop, i.e.: copiers, laminator, folding machine, perforator, padder, cutter, hole punch and sign machine Assists with ordering of supplies needed for the operation of the Print Shop Handles the preventive maintenance on all Print Shop equipment Fills Print Shop orders accurately and timely Make corrections to customer files as needed to maintain network Marketing standards Assembly digital files to provide printable files for books Assists departments with layouts and setting up printing projects Covers the operation of the Print Shop in the absence of the Print Shop Supervisor PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Standing for up to 6 hours, up to 3 hours at a time. Walking for up to 6 hours per day, 1 hour at a time. Sitting for up to 4 hours per day, 2 hours at a time. Frequently uses fingers for stapling and hole punching, etc. Frequently uses hands for stocking of shelves, etc. Frequently uses upper extremities to lift up to 55 pounds. Frequently stoops, bends or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony. Occasionally pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 200 pounds. EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent required. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Supervisory experience preferred. Must be accurate in dealing with figures. Computer literate with minimum of 4 years of printing experience preferred. Must be able to operate and maintain equipment.
